Our team is headed by Dr. Vidya Ramakrishnan, who has several years of experience in the financial services industry with Merrill Lynch, Thomas Weisel and HSBC. Vidya holds a PhD in English from Columbia University, New York.

Suresh Balaraman, the founder of Candlestick Advisors and Managing Director until January 2011, had several years of Wall Street experience as an partner at ThinkEquity Partners, analyst at Roberston Stephens and associate at Adams, Harkness & Hill. Suresh was recipient of Financial Times 2008 "World's Top Analysts" award and was named  to The Wall Street Journal's Master Stock Pickers in 2005.  Suresh built the Candlestick team through a highly selective recruitment process and in-house training.  Suresh held an MBA in Finance from Columbia University, New York, MS in Electrical Engineering from Rice University, Texas and BTech from IIT.

Candlestick Advisors has built a brand name in equity research. We have deep expertise in buy side and sell side equity research for both private and public companies. 

Our team comprises highly qualified individuals with an educational background from the IITs/IIMs or similar institutions of high repute.  We strongly encourage our team to work towards the CFA charter.  All our analysts are enrolled with the CFA program and are at various levels of the CFA.
